The newest offering from CP can be found on the infamous deathbombarc records.
This is not it, but it really doesn’t matter. Child Pornography is No
Wave at its best. Mind numbing electro beats form the foundation of the bands
attempts at annoyance and intrigue. Everything is quite tight though and will
never cease to amaze. Despite all of the schizo slobbering, you will find
yourself jamming and writhing on the floor in ecstasy. If you can’t
handle the loose poetics, stay home. Out of the 25 tracks on this homemade
album, my fave is “The Scary”, though “Franchise Babe”
is easier to dance to. Chirp-chapping electronics form the back beat to some
serious vocal vomiting and mucous. For those who were fans of the original
era of smeared social 80’s debris Child Pornography is a pretty good
option to satisfy your cravings. Bob head to front. Bob head to back. You’ve
got it!
Now rinse and repeat.
