Like a whining freight train the kids of Dance Disaster Movement are rumbling
ahead with their new full length We Are From Nowhere. It’s a pulsating
beat mixed with soulful rhythms and abrasive claxons that are punctuated by
the No Wave gospel. Quirky enough to be original, yet smooth enough to shake
yer’ ass to.
“C’est La Vie” is a wonderful No Wave/Blues slam that is
a good example of why Dance Disaster Movement are so addictive- They satisfy
the cool barfly’s esoteric tendencies, while keeping the hyper, sex-crazed
indie youth with one hand on their zipper and the other on the “repeat”
button. We Are From Nowhere is a good place to be indeed.
