A little quiet time never hurt anyone. Monster is that silence you need. A bit of Tom Waits and Lois and you’ve got a winner.
Arrrggg! Did I stoop to a simple comparison? Sorry.
They deserve better. Monster is Miles Jopling, Paul Forney, and the very beautiful sounding Alex Johnstone. The menu is indie-folk-punk. The sound is sultry swirlings and the occasional pluckings of a banjo or guitar. For those who are looking for quiet, Monster is the ticket. Monster is smooth enough for you to chill to and disjunctive enough to keep you on your toes. Watch out for these guys, they’re going to be big.
