Warning kids, this music is heavy technical stuff that will wash over you
like a wave of sheet metal. The Circuit Side hail from Los Angeles, California,
and perform four smashing rock goodies on this EP. Each track has tons of
guitar, a spate of angelic vocals, and enough crashing percussion to get your
foot tapping and your head banging. Not to make it seem like The Circuit Side
are a cheap imitation of heavy metal bands of the 70's and early 80's; they
are certainly nothing of the kind. Feeding off of an obvious love of power
chords, combined with a masterful range of solo guitar work, The Circuit Side
have arrived at a successful combination of daft "head-banging"
rocker music and electro-prog wombling to produce a tasteful post-rock product.
With the addition of vocals to this mix, one never tires of the endlessly
twirling guitar riffs, beeping electronics, and rumbling bass lines. As each
song unwinds, you will find yourself all too ready for more of the kind of
mayhem that The Circuit Site have managed to punch out onto this sampler of
their powerful sound.
